There is evidence that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads from person to person, some reports suggest the virus can last for several days on surfaces including plastics found in vehicles.

Good hygiene can prevent infection from coronavirus as well as the common cold and flu.

With this in mind we wish to share with you what practices Lube Mobile have put in place to ensure the safety of our Customers and of our staff.

Prior to working inside a vehicle, the Lube Mobile technician will use the following procedure;

  1. The technician will check with you whether you have been overseas and ordered to comply with a self-isolation order.

Looking for a Mechanic Near Me: Pink Slip Inspections and More

Looking up terms like ‘mechanic near me pink slip’ or ‘skilled mechanic for pink slip and repairs’ can be a good start to making sure your car is ready to hit the road, but with so many different options, it can be difficult to know which to choose.

In this article, we’ll talk all about pink slip inspections, so you can rest assured that your car is in tip-top shape and you can feel confident behind the wheel.

At Lube Mobile, we’re all about giving our customers comfort and peace of mind with added convenience. From pre purchase inspections to standard yearly services and logbook servicing, we bring the auto shop to you instead of the other way around.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is a pink slip inspection?

Specifically in Australia, a pink slip inspection is a mandatory vehicle safety inspection required for all light vehicles that are over five years old. This inspection is officially known as an eSafety Inspection Report and is necessary for the annual renewal of the vehicle registration.

When looking up ‘mechanic near me pink slip inspection’ or a local pink slip check, you’ll typically find brakes, suspension, steering, lights, tyres, and seat belts included in the inspection service items.

If a vehicle passes the inspection, it receives a pink slip certification, certifying that it is roadworthy and fit to operate. It is then presented to the relevant authorities as proof of the vehicle’s roadworthiness for registration renewal.

Examples of light vehicles include passenger cars, motorcycles, and trailers or caravans with an aggregate trailer mass of 4.5 tonnes or less. Certain transport vehicles for goods may also fall under this category, depending on the make and model.

Besides searching for ‘mechanic near me pink slip inspections’, don’t forget other car essentials, like regular car services, which can flag any issues or points in your vehicle that could lead to accidents.

At Lube Mobile, we offer logbook services for cars under seven years old that are still following their logbook schedules. For older cars, we also offer yearly services, which include coolant and brake fluid changes and more.

Can any mechanic perform a pink slip inspection?

When looking up terms like ‘mechanic near me pink slip inspection’, make sure to check out their certifications to know if they’re a trusted pink slip mechanic. As required by Australian law, an expert pink slip evaluation must be carried out by a licenced car mechanic or an authorised inspection station.

At Lube Mobile, all of our auto mechanics are fully qualified technicians who have been professionally active for at least four years. They are also employees, not contract-based, and operate out of company vehicles, ensuring you’re getting the quality service Lube Mobile is known for.

You can make a Lube Mobile booking online at any time of the day or night. A car inspection mechanic can be on-site within twenty-four hours of your booking. We provide service from Monday through Saturday.

How often do I need a pink slip inspection?

A pink slip inspection is typically not required for the first five years after the manufacture date of your vehicle. However, once your vehicle surpasses the five-year mark, you’ll need a pink slip certification every year when renewing your registration. This process ensures that ageing vehicles on the road continue to meet safety standards.

You will also need an up-to-date pink slip certification if you plan to sell or transfer ownership of a vehicle over five years old.

It’s best to schedule your pink slip inspection ahead of your registration renewal. This way, you won’t face any hitches during the renewal process, and you don’t have to look up terms like ‘mechanic near me pink slip inspections’ at the last minute.
