Lube Mobile Hygiene Practices When Servicing Customers Vehicles

There is evidence that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads from person to person, some reports suggest the virus can last for several days on surfaces including plastics found in vehicles.


Good hygiene can prevent infection from coronavirus as well as the common cold and flu.


With this in mind we wish to share with you what practices Lube Mobile have put in place to ensure the safety of our Customers and of our staff.


Prior to working inside a vehicle, the Lube Mobile technician will use the following procedure;


  1. The technician will check with you whether you have been overseas and ordered to comply with a self-isolation order.

  2. Disinfect car. 

  3. Disinfect hands. 

  4. Where possible avoid switching on HAVAC system (air conditioning / heater control). 


Disinfect Car

  1. Disinfect outside door handle prior to entering the vehicle. 

  2. Spray or wipe all relevant areas inside the vehicle. 

  3. Allow disinfectant to sit for up to 10mins to dry by airing out the vehicle. 

  4. Conduct works inside the vehicle.

  5. When the work is finished we will give the vehicle a final spray or wipe prior to returning the vehicle to you (including outside door handle). 


Parts of the Vehicle to be Disinfected

  1. Door handle (outside first then inside). 

  2. Steering wheel. 

  3. Radio and other control buttons and indicators. 

  4. Seat belt. 

  5. Any other areas we may need to touch when working inside the vehicle (i.e. glove box handles, drink holders, dashboard, hand brake and gears etc.) 


Disinfect Hands

  1. We will use hand sanitiser or washing of hands prior to entering the vehicle. 

  2. After completing the work we will Sanitise our hands thoroughly and close the door to the vehicle. 


Payment and Invoicing

  1. No Cash payments. Our strong preference is payment by card via the tap and go facility. 

  2. Printing of invoices and quotes will cease and we will instead email them to you.

How much does Suzuki service cost?

The prices we charge for a Suzuki service are shown during the booking process. You can go through our website and select what service you’d like to book in for and we’ll let you know the price before you commit to having Lube Mobile service your car. We feel that by being transparent on our prices we are giving everyone the opportunity to compare our prices against others; especially if you have Suzuki fixed price servicing.

It can be easy to think that Suzuki capped price servicing is the cheapest you can have your vehicle serviced. But this is often not the case, especially when you factor in the costs associated with getting your car to the dealership and the extra time involved. All of these little extras actually add to the cost of your service. When you book with Lube Mobile you won’t need to get your car to us, or give up any time bringing your car in to us.

What is included in Suzuki service?

The inclusions for your Suzuki service all depend on if the car is still covered under a manufacturer’s warranty. If your car has passed the warranty period and your booking in for a regular annual maintenance service, you can expect the following to be included:

  1. An under-bonnet check-up and fluids top up

  2. A complete brake inspection and safety check

  3. Changing the engine oils and filter

  4. A thorough examination of the cooling and charging systems

All of these are standard to keep your car functioning properly for the next year. There are also major services that should be completed on the car at your three- and six-year service anniversaries. If you're not sure of the service history of the car, we’d recommend booking in for one of our major services to get the car back on track to a regular servicing schedule. If your Suzuki is still covered under the manufacturer's warranty, then we’ll need to take care of everything that is set out in your logbooks. You can check in the logbook for what needs to be completed. Most log books are kept in the glovebox and you can flip to the first unsigned page and read what needs to be checked and changed.

How long does Suzuki service take?

When you book in for a Suzuki service through Lube Mobile, you can expect to be without your vehicle for about two (2) hours. This gives us enough time to get the service and safety inspections completed, with a little extra time if anything out of the ordinary needs to be fixed. If we do come across an issue that’s not covered under your service, we’ll contact you with an approximate time to fix and the cost. No additional work will be completed on the vehicle without your permission.

At Lube Mobile we believe in making our services as convenient as possible. As we come to you, you’ll get your car returned as soon as we’re finished. You’ll also deal directly with the mechanic that completed the service, so if there is anything you need to ask about your car, they can answer those and show you what items may need more attention or be booked in for repair during your next service.
