How To Choose A Pre Inspection Car Service

It’s okay to ask for a little help when finding ‘the one’, and when it comes to your car purchase, it’s ideal to get a pre inspection car check.

In this Lube Mobile article, we’ll take you on a ride to see what separates a good pre-purchase car inspection from a great one. Afterwards, you can also learn about its importance and specifics, including the common inclusions in a pre inspection car service.

Find the right service to find the right car

Proficiency across all car types

Experience is a key factor when choosing a pre inspection car service. For this reason, you should opt for a mechanic team adept at various kinds of vehicles.

Whether you’ve stumbled upon a vintage treasure or a modern marvel, you need a seasoned professional capable of performing a thorough mechanical check. When it comes to car performance and car safety checks, there’s no substitute for comprehensive knowledge.

Communication skills that pair with expertise

Pre inspection car services should not leave you in the dust with technical jargon. While services generally come with a detailed report, it’s crucial to understand the information provided.

For that reason, it’s important to find a mechanic with the ability to translate complex automotive terms into plain, understandable language. Such communication even becomes more important if you’re sharing the vehicle purchase with people who aren’t really savvy with car lingo.

At Lube Mobile, that’s exactly what you’ll get – a comprehensive report and even an IRIS video that’ll explain all the findings and recommendations in an easy-to-understand manner. Not to mention that you can view the video even if you’re kilometres away from the prospective vehicle. The mechanic can send your IRIS video and report via text message or email, arriving in the palm of your hand wherever you are.

Showing up at your convenience

Today’s world is even faster than 200 kph and more chaotic than a traffic jam. As such, balancing work, family, and social life can be challenging.

With this, it’s critical that you find a vehicle pre inspection that goes where you need it. With just a call or a few clicks for an online booking, you should be able to arrange a time and place for your vehicle inspection. You won’t even have to be present for the inspection. This way, you won’t have to take a day off or miss important events or family days just to get a pre inspection car procedure done.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is a car inspection, and why is it important before purchasing a used vehicle?

As an excited driver, you may already know that a vehicle mechanical inspection is when a mechanic checks the condition of a car, allowing you to make an informed purchase based on the findings.

You may also already be aware of the importance of this service, which ultimately helps identify any potential problems with the pre-owned vehicle and potentially saves you from costly repairs or replacements down the line.

However, aside from its role as an in-depth assessment or a car safety checklist, it’s crucial for buyers to understand the bargaining aspect of buying a car. This is especially relevant if they’re concerned about saving as much as possible.

Instead of taking the deal as it is, they can save a few bucks by paying the true price of a second-hand car. Should the current condition of the vehicle not align with what was advertised, then the buyer can be empowered to ask for negotiations from the seller.

At Lube Mobile, our service even adds to this with our competitive pricing. You’ll be delighted to know that we’ll only ever charge you for actual labour, and we’ll tell you the pre-purchase car inspection cost before commencing. This gives you full control in terms of costs and, more importantly, the opportunity to give us the green light if you’re comfortable with proceeding.

What components of the car are usually inspected during a pre inspection?

Not all pre inspection car services are the same, and the components checked could differ from provider to provider. At Lube Mobile, comprehensive vehicle inspections from us would include a body and paint evaluation, where we check for signs of any previous accidents, damage, or rust and blemishes.

You can also expect our mechanic to check used car parts like the engine, transmission, brakes, steering system, suspension, and battery with our mechanical condition assessment. In the interior inspection phase, even elements like the seat finish and electrical systems can be assessed in our pre inspection car service, letting you know if any modifications were made and if they’re all in working order.

Lastly, we tie everything together with a test drive and roadworthiness assessment. Here, we’ll find any performance or handling concerns that might not have been evident during the other stationary inspection phases.

Following the inspection, we will provide customers with a comprehensive report that outlines our findings, including the IRIS video and recommendations. This report will assist buyers in understanding the condition of the vehicle prior to purchase.

However, what really sets us apart at Lube Mobile is that we offer more than just a car inspection service. If you already bought a used car without inspecting it or perhaps experienced hiccups down the line, we also have a repair and maintenance service for vehicles. Best of all, it comes with a standard 12-month/20,000km, Australia-wide warranty on all labour and parts.

Is it necessary to have a mechanic do the pre inspection car check, or can anyone do it?

While it’s true that an eagle-eyed driver can spot pedestrians and road signs from far away, the same might not be the case for what’s under the car’s front panel. It’s possible for you to conduct your own personal pre-purchase inspection, but remember that only a certified mechanic possesses the experience and tools to spot problems hidden from the untrained eye.

That’s why at Lube Mobile, we don’t just offer expertise; we offer peace of mind. Our highly-skilled mechanics work six days a week, usually heeding your request within twenty-four hours of booking.

Plus, we are members of major motor industry associations across Australia, and we ensure that you know whether or not your ideal ride passes the vehicle safety inspection and satisfies the points in our comprehensive assessment.
